Every Sunday, I try to catch Kyla's perfs on her regular show, SOP. I usually just smile kahit pa ang taas na ng kanta at maganda delivery niya. However, last Sunday, I really said out loud, "Ay sh*t! Ang galing!" when I heard Kyla sang It's My Turn. That was my first time to really show my amazement and admiration for Kyla inside our house.

I am so effin' tired.

The past week has been restless for me and it is still not yet over. The super delayed Baguio trip will be this morning.

Ganito talaga ako lagi pag malapit na matapos ang isang buwan ng pagiging vampire. I guess my body can only work at night for three weeks max. I am so looking forward for day shift kahit ibig sabihin nun e makikipag-unahan na naman ako kay 2 o'clock. I am usually late pag dayshift. Haha

Yes, I am tired. I havent got any proper sleep this week. I always have restless Sunday nights. I dunno. I usually wake up at around 2AM and sleep will then go wandering somewhere else and wont come back again. Gusto ko na nga maniwala sa sabi sabi na pag hindi ka makatulog, may nag-iisip sayo. Haha It was even harder to ask sleep to come over during day time. Shit.

Partly, it is my fault why I dont get enough rest. I have to run some errands and do some favors. Yung iba, kalandian na lang. Hehe Pero nafeel ko talaga yung pagod kanina (Kyla's album launch). I was waiting for her to finish her food so I just kept quiet. Kyla suddenly asked "Bakit parang ang lungkot mo yata ngayon?". I just said kulang ako sa tulog. I actually realized I meant it, not just some answer para hindi na sya mag-usisa. After the signing, I really felt tired that I wanted to go home right then and just sleep sleep sleep but work is still waiting.

I would love to sleep for more than 8 hours. Nakakainis kasi ang body clock ko, pag naka8hrs na, di na ako makakatulog ulet. Hay...

I badly needed and wanted to have proper sleep. Magawa ko kaya siya sa Baguio? Haha

Really. Im so so proud of this one. I have edited a lot of pictures of Kyla, made graphics and banners for the community but idk I am just so proud of this banner I have made today (impulse editing: I just woke up and planned to watch Heroes, then I saw her new pic. Voila! I started editing it without really planning on what to do with it).

remember that word na pinauso ni mariel (or ni bianca?)? haha Wala lang. I was browsing my old and well, current journal when I saw an entry about our "connivance businesses". I remember talking about it with Sis, Taba, and Starla.

It all started with my book, Rosie Dunne by Cecelia Ahern, that all of us has read (ay, Lex, nabasa mo ba yun? haha). Towards the end of the book, Rosie decided to convert her house on the county a B&B even though her dream is really a hotel.

So there, Iris (sis) said she wants to own a hotel. Alex (taba) wanted to have a restau-bar and she'll call it "Paranoia of a Goddess". I really wanted an editing shop with a recording studio but since we wanted to build our businesses inside Iris' hotel, I opted for a bookstore/record bar. I will call it "Notes & Pages". hahaha Si Toni (starla), she wants to have a coffee shop.

It was a really cute dream business. Nakakaloka pa yung mga naiisip namin nun. Well, hanggang ngayon naman. hehe... It was just fun reminiscing about my college days.

I miss you guys.  I miss the pressure of deadlines, loads of meetings to attend to, productions, shootings and exams saka thesis. Yung mga tambay at gala moments pag walang prof. Bonding moments (ang yaman natin sa ganyan eh) Wee... kakamiss.

I hope the four of us can go out again one of these days. Si Toni mejo gora na sa mga ganyan. hahaha

This time, I just wanted to talk about a dear friend back in college. Her name's Toni. She's one of the stand out faces in our class, already part of the talks on the first week of college. Last week, we met again after more than a year. We met, of course, in Megamall. Hehe... She asked me, "How did we become close?" That sent us both thinking. Then, she remembered when we became groupmates for one of our subjects and they insisted on going to our house to watch the movie for a review. That was the day when she tripped in Boni for no reason at all (sorry dear, just have to include that. Highlight of the day, you know). Thats when it all started. We were then seatmates for.. I dont know how many subjects on our own choice! LOL Isama mo na din yung times na alphabetical order ang seating arrangement. Magkatabi pa din kami kasi magkasunod surnames namin.

We both love going to Quiapo and buy some stuffs. Go figure. Hehe... If we were not mall hopping, we were there or in Divisoria. We have a lot in common and the most important of all? We can stand each other! Thats the key. Kaming dalawa lang ang nakakaintindi sa kapraningan at kabaliwan ng isa't isa. We can bear each other's stamina and energy level. Aminado kami pareho na walang makapantay samen sa mga taong nakakasama namin ngayon.

When we met again, we did the usual stuffs. Eat, walk around the mall, look at stuffs and we cant go home without buying anything. Dunno why is that. Hehe... We talked, updated each other with what happened for the lost time. With her, I never felt uneasy with silent moments. We may never have talked for ages (tamad nya kasi magtext) but the bond remained in us.

Toni will always be one of my dearest friends. I will never ever forget her, thats for sure.

John Lloyd Cruz has never failed to me make cry inside the cinema (okay, OA. di ako umiyak sa Close To You. hahaha) but still, he's the only local actor that could make me cry.

After the long wait, finally, finally, finally! haha we were able to go and watch A Very Special Love. *sundance*

ang kulet ng movie! walang boring scenes, may significance bawat isa. Sarah's acting was natural. as if there's no camera and she really is Laida. the spirit and belief was there on that scene inside the pantry and her co-staff were downplaying their boss. and her eyes! you could see the emotions in them especially the sparkle when she looks at miggy. her lines were delivered well. there are lines na iisipin mo na baka ad lib na lang ni sarah yun. hehe... I love the scene when she was holding miggy's pictures in her hands after taking them off the wall and her mom walked up to her. very effective. nakakawala ng bait ang acting nya dun! i was crying and laughing at the same time! super benta nung sun dance nya. she did that and when she was asked what she was doing, yung tono and confidence talaga sa "sun dance sir!", astig! parang normal lang nyang ginagawa.

And JLC... well, he really is JLC! really good at it. His acting was consistent. I mean, from the very beginning to the end, he has this aura of a really masungit and powerful boss. kahit dun sa parts na nagsoften na sya, the authority was still there. and oh, the last part where laida was waiting for miggy to hug her, yung face ni Lloydie -- ekspresyon talaga ng isang guy na hindi sanay sa sweet moments at hindi alam kung ano yung hinihintay ng girl na gawin nya. hahaha that was really cute! panalo din ang sundance nya. hehehe... and his stares! wah! nakakatunaw!

camera angles and shots were nice, showing more of one's character. ayaw ko lang nung "Ngiti" dun sa part na may sakit si Lloydie. I dont think the song suited the scenes. hahaha

The movie also has its trademarks like the sundance (Star Cinema always has one in their movies) and the really funny lines.

over-all, it was a great movie! pangchill out. just have your tissues ready. ang hindi matawa at kiligin dito, BATO! hahaha

I seriously want my voice back. Really. I want to sing again and hear my voice. hahaha! Lifehouse, you're the one to blame for my hoarse voice! hahaha!






Yes, I went to see Lifehouse's concert last Saturday (July 26) ALONE. lol And I dont regret going there! If you know me, you will think Lifehouse is out of my music preferences. But I LOVE them. I love them even more after their concert. They're phenomenal! It has been two days but I still cant get over the feeling and the energy!

I am truly decided when I bought my ticket to the show but then when the show was just minutes away, I was really thinking "will I enjoy this?". I mean, Im a fan but I have never been to a concert of this genre so I dont know what to expect. I also told myself I'll behave, content myself by just clapping my hands because, after all, Im alone.

But heck, on to the second song, I was already screaming and jumping up and down there (err, not on my personality, I know. haha)! Singing with them! They're so damn great! Jason's voice really sounds the same as his voice on CDs (you know how some singer's voice changes in live performances). May slight sabit sa First Time pero okay pa din! In fairness to me, I do know how to determine if the band is good live or not. haha

I also have cough that night and mild sore throat (dun pa nga ako uminom ng gamot sa Araneta hehe) and I thought they went away when the band started playing.

The crowd was amazing. I never thought that Lifehouse has a huge following here in Manila but man, Araneta was packed! Everyone was up on their feet the whole show. The energy was high!

Bryce even sang "Bridges" and he was really good too! Jason's hot! I love it when he did this "bending" thing rock stars do. And for that, I hate myself for accidentally deleting Jason's pic doing that stunt! It was a good shot pa naman.

The stage was simple. I couldnt even make out the graphics on the huge tarp they put up as the background. But the lights were amazing! All of them right on cue! I especially love the row of floodlights. hehe

Oh, Jason took a vid (or pic) of the crowd before they played Disarray. He said "wanna say hi to myspace.com?" or something like that. lol

The whole show gave new and different meaning to their songs. Hearing them live is priceless. Made the Lifehouse fan in me grow into something stronger.

It was kinda disappointing that they did not play Everything but Jason said he didn't know it was popular in the country (someone asked him during the meet and greet) but over-all, it was one hell of a show!!! Most of my faves are on the list. I wish they did more cause its kinda "bitin". Ganun kaganda ang concert that we wanted more! Best concert Ive ever been to, I must say!

Oh please Lifehouse! Come back! You owe us "Everything"! hahaha!

Okay. So i told the others that im going to baguio again and thats what i wrote on my leave application. Truth is, i went to batangas. Why lie? Thats for me to keep.

 

Ayie, jubi and i headed to lenny's place in Tawilisan, Batangas right after our monday shift. Of course, Len is with us. Hehe.. Im not sure if the place is within Taal or just beside Taal. Im bad in geography, sorry. Anyway, we travelled on a bus from Buendia. I tried to listen to Goodtimes with Mo on our way to catch Twister's stories on AI finale but sleep took over me plus the audio of the movie playing inside the bus was so loud. So there, i just surrendered to it and woke up when we're just 30mins away. It was fiesta btw in Lenny's place. When we got there, we ate (they served leche flan! Weee..), changed clothes, kulitan and slept. Hehe.. Couldnt blame us, we worked all night!

 

The original plan was to go to the beach right after Santacruzan but Len's dad told us to just go there in the morning. Okay, fine. So to kill time, we did some karaoke! Er, I dont think thats 'some time', we spent hours singing! Haha! Plus, its a little bit embarrassing cos the speakers were HUGE and its facing the streets directly! Good thing the car was there in front of the garage to cover us. Hehe.. Oh and they made me sing Jealous! Bless! Haha! We sang until the bands who were going to perform in the street (two trucks with cemented floor(?) served as stage) had their sound checked. People outside the garage where we were are already looking in our direction cos we're still singing (but they cant see us hehe). So there, we stopped and let the bands have the attention. Im glad loud music or noise doesnt affect my sleep. Si jubi na malikot lang nakapagpagising sken. Hehe..

 

Next day: beach time! Hehe.. We went to a resort in Lemery. Okay, im used to the type of sand on Batangas beaches (some time, rocky shores). Im more interested in taking pictures than swimming (cos I dont know how to swim). But they were'nt picture addicts. Ampf! Kaya ang trip kong magkaroon ng emotera pic sa beach ay naglaho! Tsss.. Thats why I was a bit sad. But the boat ride was fun! The water is bluegreen! I felt so peaceful (except for the nervous moments trying to take pictures). Eeehh, naiinis talaga ako at di ako nakapagpic ng matino sa beach!

 

Next stop: Taal church (or so I thought that was its name). Ive been asking Lenny when we will drop by there. Dunno why I wanted to go there. Maybe just a habit when travelling plus wishing chances. Hehe.. The church is so beautiful but then again, they're not picture addicts. So i have to run and catch up with them after stopping to take photos.

 

We went home later that afternoon. It was the funniest thing that happened on this trip! We were already on the bus bound to Manila. Jubi was going through her bag over and over again so I asked her what's wrong. And oh dear, she left her cellphone at Lenny's house! Hahaha! So we went back kahit mejo malayo na naabot namin. It was so funny! Of all things to forget, fone pa! Nakakatawa talaga kasi bago kami umalis, hinugot pa nya yung nakacharge nyang fone. Ayun, charger lang pala nailagay sa bag! Hahaha! Hahaha! 

 

It was a quiet trip back home because we're all asleep. Good thing, I filed for a two-day leave. Ü

The Boat ride experience!

I heard a song yesterday (May19) on TV. I was still sleepy when my ears caught it and my brain did not fully absorb it. Dang! I love the line and the melody! I dont know the title or who sang it. What I could remember is that its an OPM but in English and it was played before Lala's song with Christian Bautista (nice song, btw) on MYXilog.

I have always wanted to get into photography. I dont know, it was just fun. But I always think it was such an expensive hobby to go into. Hehe... Lately, Ive been taking pictures randomly and its nice when people compliments on them.

I received a text from Alex telling everyone she and Iris are going to Baguio that Sunday. I was like ‘shit, Baguio! I wanna go there!’ but I suddenly think of the bills I have to pay (yes, meron na akong babayarang bills. Haha!) So, after a few text exchange with Alex (and a peek on my payslip :D), I decided to join them.

Saturday

It was so weird that everything was going smoothly. I’ve asked my dad’s permission with all honesty, including telling him that it was just going to be me, Alex and Iris. He didn’t even asked if some boys will come along or kung baket puro kame babae. Really weird!

Sunday

We left Iris’ house at 2am. Ang weird talaga, even Iris felt that kasi literally her parents just dropped us off at the terminal. So we did everything all by ourselves. Exciting but scary, I must admit. Nakakaparanoid yung stopovers! Hehe… I got to see a sunrise again. It was beautiful. I love twilight. Pag gising ka sa byahe parang ang haba haba so tulog kame ng tulog. Hehe…

It was my first time in Baguio, so as Alex so ginawa naming tour guide si Iris na mejo baliktad bumasa ng map. Peace sis! Buti na lang merong jeep at taxi dun. Hehe… ang bait ng mga taxi drivers at nagsusukli talaga sila! Nice! Before all the gala, we went to buy bus tickets back to Manila to avoid unwanted possibilities. Then, we looked for a room to dump ourselves (haha!) and our things.

Alex and I wanted to try horseback riding kaso yung tindera sa binilhan namin ng ice cream sabi 300 daw yun. Gumuho ang pangarap namin. Ginto na pala rent ng horse ngayon. Haha! I love Mine’s View and Lourdes Grotto. :D

It was fun going around Baguio. Budgeting our money was nice too! Singing David Cook’s Always Be My Baby every now and then (it was like the OST of this trip). Biruin mo yun, we explored Baguio just the three of us, all girls! Im really proud of this adventure!

ooh, I just love Edward Cullen! i love the book (twilight) and the sequel. I have to get a copy of the third one! gee....

I was browsing through webpages out of boredom. saw lots of pics which made me smile, made me miss some friends and a lot made me so kilig. hahaha! dunno why... i just felt those tingling sensations (naks!). then suddenly, it was hard for me to breathe. (may sakit pala sa puso. haha!) kidding. yeah, parang nanikip dibdib ko.
